Abu Dhabi Maritime, a part of AD Ports Group, has officially launched Maritime Hub Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Integrated Transport Centre – Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT). This platform aims to bridge the gap between public and private stakeholders to connect and strengthen the maritime sector. The Hub was formed following extensive research and benchmarking against other leading maritime cities, with the goal of harnessing collective synergies through cooperation across public and private sectors.

The Maritime Hub will be led by a committee composed of representatives from various segments of both the public and private maritime sectors, contributing innovative ideas, addressing challenges, and guiding collaborative efforts to promote industry growth and development. Additionally, the Hub will play a role in facilitating the maritime industry’s sustainability by offering awareness, guidance, and familiarization on the pathway to decarbonization, promoting best practices, and developing eco-friendly solutions to reduce carbon footprints.

Saif Al Mheiri, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Maritime, expressed the commitment to the maritime sector’s growth and prosperity through the initiative. The Hub will create a platform for stakeholders to come together, share knowledge, and drive progress that will reshape the industry landscape and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s standing as an international maritime city. In addition to this initiative, AD Ports has also announced collaborations with Kazakhstan’s national shipping company and completed a comprehensive environmental and social impact assessment as part of a 30-year concession agreement with the Red Sea Port Authority.
