In his budget speech, Ajit Pawar outlined a Rs 7,20,000 crore budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, highlighting a revenue deficit of Rs 45,891 crore in the state legislative assembly. He emphasized the state’s new industrial policy, which aims to attract Rs 40 lakh crore in investments and create 50 lakh jobs. Pawar also mentioned the development of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region as a growth hub, projected to achieve a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047.

Furthermore, the Maharashtra government is actively pursuing investments in the industrial sector, resulting in significant contributions to the state’s industrial development.
