Anglo-Eastern was honored with the 2023 Ship Manager of the Year Award at the 11th Hong Kong Annual Maritime Charity Dinner and Seafarer Awards. The award, voted on by seafarers, recognized the company’s commitment to its values and its 50th anniversary. Niraj Nanda, Group Commercial Director, accepted the award and expressed gratitude to the company’s 37,000 seafarers, their families, and shore teams for their support.
The award acknowledged Anglo-Eastern’s deployment of Starlink Maritime across its fleet, providing internet connectivity at sea. This initiative, mentioned in award nominations and supported by seafarer responses, has positively impacted crew wellbeing and productivity. Additionally, the company has prioritized crew welfare and wellbeing as part of its broader ESG strategy, implementing over 60 crew wellbeing-related initiatives for its sea staff on board and ashore.
