APM Terminals Pipavav has claimed the title of India’s most efficient port for the second consecutive year in the 2022 Global Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) ranking published by the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence. The rankings provide a benchmark for assessing container port performance worldwide and offer insights to industry stakeholders. Globally, APM Terminals Pipavav ranks 30th in the CPPI ranking, with a score of 119.04. The port’s customer-centric approach, streamlined processes, and focus on productivity and safety were credited with contributing to its exceptional performance.

APM Terminals Pipavav’s achievements in 2022-23 include strengthening India’s infrastructure by connecting to the Dedicated Freight Corridor and providing electrified double-deck freight trains. The port secured new services and partnerships such as “Shaheen Express” and JADE Express, and demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by aiming to become net-zero by 2040 and reducing emissions by 70% by 2030. Other initiatives include a 1,000 kWp solar power plant for a significant reduction in carbon footprint and developing storage facilities to facilitate agricultural goods transport. The port’s dedication to providing a world-class customer and trading experience continues to shape its reputation as a transshipment hub.
