Damen has opened a service hub in Vietnam, its ninth, offering faster and more comprehensive maintenance and lifecycle support services to customers in Southeast Asia. Damen Services Southeast Asia will initially undertake warranty support work for vessels operated in the region and assist with the optimisation of shipboard systems on vessels delivered by the Damen Song Cam Shipyard. The hub plans to expand, offering a full range of business services, in the future. Michiel Hendrikx, Damen’s sales director for Asia Pacific, said the opening of the hub was a development in Damen meeting its goal “of ensuring our customers are always close to support and expertise”.
Phong Vu Van, Manager of the service hub, said Damen’s experienced engineers, would work with colleagues at the Damen Song Cam Shipyard, adding customers could be “assured that any warranty request will be dealt with quickly and efficiently, and they can take advantage of service contracts for long-term maintenance and repairs”. Damen offers a global network of service hubs, ensuring support “anytime, anywhere in the world”.
