DP World’s Nhava Sheva Business Park (NSBP) has achieved Platinum certification from The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), making it the first Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in India to achieve this level of certification. This certification recognizes NSBP’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and sustainable design. The facility covers 2 million square feet and is strategically located near the Nhava Sheva Port to facilitate global trade.
NSBP’s sustainable features include a 1.5MW Solar PV system covering 18.6% of annual energy consumption, 100% electric material handling vehicles, and water-efficient fixtures that have achieved a 38.9% savings in water usage. Additionally, the facility has achieved a 75% reduction in construction waste through reuse and recycling. Ranjit Ray, Vice President of DP World, emphasizes the company’s commitment to providing sustainable and scalable logistics solutions to customers.
With its proximity to Nhava Sheva Port, NSBP offers seamless multimodal connectivity and quick access to global markets. The facility includes six operational warehouses as well as specialized and temperature-controlled storage solutions. Globally, DP World is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040 and net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with a 28% reduction in carbon footprint by 2030.
