Four students, Logan Soares, Angelino Madeiros, Daque Davis, and Nasir Rudolph, have been awarded a total of $12,000 from the Bermuda Maritime Scholarship for 2023. Logan Soares is currently pursuing an MSci in Marine Biology at the University of Southampton. Angelino Madeiros will begin his first year at the New England Institute of Technology in the fall of 2023, studying Marine Technology. Daque Davis will start studying Biology at Oakwood University in January 2024, following a semester at Bermuda College. Nasir Rudolph is in his final year at the University of Miami, studying Marine Science/Biology.
This is the fourth year of awards for the Bermuda Maritime Scholarship, administered by the Bermuda Shipping and Maritime Authority. The scholarship committee consists of members from the shipping and maritime industry in Bermuda, and their goal is to support and mentor young Bermudians interested in maritime and marine studies through awards, mentoring, and career counseling.
