The Docklands’ four-day festival of everything boating in Melbourne, Australia, has come to an end after attracting a large number of visitors. The event featured over 100 exhibitors and expanded its space at Victoria Harbour in the city’s central business district. This year’s festival included new features such as a retail island selling marine accessories, a display of trailerable fishing boats, live fishing demonstrations, and a space for heritage and wooden boats. Feedback from attendees was positive, with the president of the Boating Industry Association of Victoria stating that the new activations and features were well received.

Geelong-based boatbuilder Edencraft was awarded for having the best onshore display at the event, while Yamaha received recognition for its on-water efforts. The show included various public events, such as networking sessions, career awards, and boat handling sessions. Dealerships and industry players expressed surprise at the high turnout and success of the event. However, there are concerns about the limited space available at the Docklands site for future shows, with suggestions that a new venue may be sought for next year’s festival.
