The conference aims to share innovative ideas to improve logistics management in the industry, with the support of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Topics to be discussed include case studies of logistics success in Telangana, national master plan for multimodal connectivity, customs facilitation, cold chain infrastructure, dealing with disruptions, and more.
The focus of ICSL 2024 will be on ‘Opportunities and Constraints in Landlocked States,’ highlighting the logistical challenges faced by states without direct access to international markets through gateway ports. FTCCI noted that while landlocked states often face higher trade costs, there have been positive developments in Telangana, with improvements in road quality, terminal facilities, logistics costs, and availability of skilled workforce. The conference will feature speakers and panelists from around the world sharing expertise and research findings to help MSMEs optimize their logistics expenses.
FTCCI emphasized the importance of leveraging information shared at the conference to benefit MSMEs in optimizing their logistics expenses by taking advantage of available services and facilities. With a focus on addressing specific challenges faced by landlocked states, the conference aims to explore ways to improve connectivity and reduce trade costs for effective integration into the global trading system. The event will provide a platform for industry experts to discuss incentives from government policies and share valuable insights to facilitate better logistics management in the shipping industry.
