Japanese shipowners from Veritas Maritime Corporation have reaffirmed their commitment to providing valuable job opportunities for Filipino seafarers. This pledge was made during the anniversary celebration of the manning agency at the Manila Hotel last month. Tadashi Takahashi, managing executive officer of “K” Line Roro Bulk Ship Management Co. Ltd. (KRBS), emphasized the importance of Filipino seafarers in the international shipping industry and expressed well wishes to the team at Veritas, led by President Jiro Marquez.
Established in 1917 and headquartered in Kobe, Japan, KRBS is primarily involved in ship management. Together with its subsidiaries in the Philippines, Germany, Bulgaria, and Ukraine, the KRBS group oversees more than 100 vessels and employs over 2000 seafarers. The anniversary celebration was attended by notable figures such as Department of Migrant Workers Assistant Secretary Jerome Pampolina and industry leaders like Toshihito Inoue and Capt. Kazumi Tomi.
During the event, special awards were presented to outstanding Veritas employees who have made significant contributions to the company’s growth and success. Veritas President Marquez expressed gratitude for the continuous support that has propelled the company to 35 years of existence. Chairperson Ericson Marquez also extended his appreciation to partners, crew, and staff for their unwavering dedication, emphasizing the importance of strong partnerships in Veritas’ journey of success.
