On World Maritime Day, the Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, organized a motivational event at the Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School to honor the achievements of Captain Meera. Captain Meera, an alumna of the school, has made a significant impact in the male-dominated field of seafaring and currently holds the position of captain of MV Campbell Bay. Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma commended Captain Meera’s accomplishments and expressed his admiration for her dedication. He emphasized that women can excel in the maritime industry and encouraged female students to pursue career opportunities in this sector.
