NCDMB collaborates with Stoilic Shipping to train 10 cadets on sea-time and CoC training

The Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has partnered with Stoilic Shipping Limited to provide full-scholarship sea-time training for 10 cadets. The aim is to enhance Nigeria’s seafaring capacity and capability. The NCDMB Manager, Timbiri Augustine, emphasized the importance of the training and warned the cadets about the challenges they may face, such as turbulent weather and language barriers. He also mentioned that the training is not limited to the Nigerian maritime and oil gas industry and can take them to other countries. Stoilic Shipping’s Executive Director, Irene McFoy, encouraged the cadets to raise the standards of Nigerian seafarers and take ownership of their learning journey. She expressed the company’s goal of making Nigeria a leading supplier of seafarers to the international maritime industry, like the Philippines. The Managing Director of Stoilic Shipping, Lotanna McFoy, urged the cadets to make the most of the opportunity and remember their roots.
