Afcons Infrastructure LTD, a company under the Shapoorji Pallonji group, recently announced that it has secured a major project after receiving a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Hindustan Gateway Container Terminal Kandla Private LTD, a part of DP World. This project involves the design and construction of the marine package for a container terminal at Tuna Tekra in Gujarat. Valued at 1,283 crore rupees (excluding GST), the contract will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, with a projected completion timeline of 29 months.
Additionally, Afcons Infrastructure has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the construction of the Pune Ring Road (East) PRR E5 and E7 packages. This project, awarded by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (Msrdc), entails the development of a road in Pune to enhance accessibility. The total project cost amounts to 4,787.20 crore rupees (excluding GST) and will be executed in EPC mode, with a stipulated completion period of 36 months.
