The agreement also emphasizes the transfer of technical knowledge to meet global shipbuilding standards.

This strategic partnership aligns with India’s ambition to become a leading marine hub, supported by initiatives like the Rs 25,000 crore Marine Development Fund. The MoU was announced after market hours, and CSL’s stock closed 2.08% higher at Rs 2,057.25.

Additionally, CSL has recently partnered with Drydocks World to enhance its offshore manufacturing and ship repair capabilities, focusing on creating a premier ship repair ecosystem for both domestic and international fleets. This collaboration signifies a significant step towards strengthening India’s position in the global maritime industry.
