MANGALURU: The New Mangaluru Port Authority (NMPA) successfully conducted a mid-sea emergency medical evacuation after a crew member aboard the merchant vessel M.V. AMNS STALLION suffered a stroke and lost consciousness.

Responding to an urgent distress call, NMPA deployed its tugboat Ocean Harmony, which promptly reached the vessel and safely transported the ailing crew member. Upon arrival at the port, an NMPA ambulance swiftly transferred the patient to a nearby hospital for advanced medical treatment.

Port officials emphasized the crucial role played by the marine and medical teams in ensuring the patient received immediate attention. Their timely coordination and swift response were vital in facilitating this life-saving operation.
