Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany’s Reintjes GmbH, a leader in marine gearbox design and manufacturing. This partnership aims to elevate marine propulsion technology by integrating Reintjes’ advanced gear trains with select ship engines produced at GRSE’s facilities.

The collaboration is set to enhance propulsion efficiency for both defense warships and commercial vessels, catering to domestic and export markets. With a decade of engineering prowess, Reintjes GmbH is expected to bolster GRSE’s commitment to technological excellence in shipbuilding.

This agreement marks a significant milestone in GRSE’s strategy to establish global partnerships, furthering its efforts to enhance marine equipment capabilities. Recently, GRSE has signed impactful agreements with international entities such as Berg Propulsion from Sweden for government marine projects and SunStone from Denmark for potential expedition cruise vessel collaborations. Additionally, GRSE partnered with SWAN Defence and Heavy Industries Ltd to strengthen domestic shipbuilding in the commercial sector.
