The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) of India is set to host the India Maritime Week 2025 (IMW 2025) from October 27 to 31 at NESCO Grounds in Mumbai. This event aims to be the largest maritime gathering worldwide, uniting key players from the maritime sector under the theme “Uniting Oceans, One Maritime Vision.” IMW 2025 is designed to highlight India’s aspirations to become a global maritime hub and a leader in the Blue Economy.
The event will feature notable participants, including Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and various Chief Ministers from Indian states. Additionally, ministers from 11 countries and their industry delegations will engage in discussions, demonstrating the increasing global interest in India’s maritime industry. Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, emphasized that the event will enhance India’s position in international maritime trade and promote sustainable shipping practices.
With over 100,000 delegates from more than 85 countries expected, IMW 2025 will host over 350 international speakers and facilitate the signing of over 600 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with investment commitments exceeding ₹10 lakh crore. A comprehensive exhibition alongside a series of flagship events, including the Global Maritime India Summit and various country sessions, will further enrich the experience.
