This standard addresses the unique challenges associated with subsea cable design, installation, and operation, particularly in harsh marine environments, deep waters, and over long distances.

The new ABS standard offers a comprehensive framework of requirements and specifications aimed at helping the offshore industry mitigate risks, maintain system integrity, and enhance the resilience of subsea power transmission systems.
