Bulker Recovery Operations Begin After Grounding Incident in New York Waters

The Canadian-flagged bulk carrier, M/V Tim S. Dool, has commenced cargo lightening and refloating operations today after running aground last month in US waters near Massena, New York. This recovery phase is crucial in resolving the aftermath of the incident that occurred on November 23, 2024. The vessel was carrying wheat grain when it grounded southwest of the Eisenhower Lock, prompting concerns about potential shipping delays.
