ClassNK has introduced new features for its GHG emissions management tool, ClassNK ZETA, enhancing compliance with FuelEU Maritime and EU-ETS regulations. The tool, which is utilized by over 5,500 ships, now includes functionalities such as pool optimization for FuelEU Maritime, recommending the best strategies for banking, borrowing, and pooling based on each vessel’s compliance status.
Additionally, users can directly send inquiries for EU Allowance (EUA) purchases to ITOCHU Corporation and MITSUI & CO., LTD., streamlining the acquisition process for EUAs related to EU-ETS obligations. This feature aims to facilitate efficient purchasing for users.
ClassNK ZETA has also evolved into an open platform, integrating third-party services. Notably, NAPA’s Fleet Intelligence is now available, allowing users to leverage its data seamlessly within ClassNK ZETA.
These advancements will be showcased at the upcoming Bariship event from May 22 to 24. ClassNK remains committed to enhancing tools that support GHG emissions management as part of its broader initiative to assist customers in transitioning to zero-emission operations.
