Saronic Co-Founder and CEO Dino Mavrookas emphasized the company’s goal of delivering commercially viable autonomous vessels, which can later be adapted for defense applications. This vision is being realized through a new partnership with Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. (HOS) aimed at accelerating the development and implementation of autonomous platforms and maritime solutions. The collaboration will focus on commercial applications to enhance offshore services and energy operations, including pilot projects for Saronic’s 180-foot autonomous ship, the Marauder.

Mavrookas stated that Saronic is dedicated to creating technology that enhances safety and efficiency in complex maritime environments. The partnership with Hornbeck aims to responsibly deploy autonomous systems to improve offshore service delivery, thereby contributing to energy security and overall economic stability.
