Carnot has forged a strategic partnership with Petredec, a leading player in the LPG sector, to expedite the rollout of its next-generation engines powered by LPG across transport, maritime, and power generation industries. The main objective of the Carnot Engine is to achieve exceptional efficiency, leading to reduced fuel consumption and significant cost and emission savings for operators.

Designed for versatility, the Carnot engine can utilize a wide array of fuels, including LPG, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, biofuels, biogas, LNG, and diesel, with the capability to switch between them seamlessly.

Philip Harwood, Fleet Director at Petredec and a Board Member, emphasized the importance of enhancing operational efficiency while being environmentally responsible. He noted that LPG is a cleaner-burning, readily available fuel, and its combination with Carnot’s efficient engines creates a powerful synergy. This partnership aims to deliver cleaner power and transportation at lower costs while benefiting the environment. Petredec is enthusiastic about funding the research and development of the LPG variant of the Carnot engine and becoming a shareholder in this innovative venture.
