EVE Energy and Green Whale Technology (GWT) have formed a strategic partnership to enhance marine electrification by offering advanced Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) globally. This collaboration merges EVE’s cutting-edge lithium marine battery technology with GWT’s expertise in marine engineering and lifecycle services. EVE’s active balancing technology enables their systems to last up to 15 years, outperforming current LFP systems and lowering total ownership costs.
Historically, the high C-rate maritime battery market has been dominated by NMC cell-based systems. EVE stands out as the sole supplier of 3C continuous LFP marine batteries, which provide a longer lifespan than NMC alternatives in various applications. This partnership’s strengths lie in its production capabilities, innovative Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry, and robust global service network.
To enhance customer support, GWT is launching a cloud service platform in the Netherlands, ensuring local data compliance and digital security while mitigating geopolitical risks. Additionally, spare parts storage in Norway and the Netherlands will facilitate timely after-sales service, complemented by ongoing joint R&D for continued innovation.
As one of the largest battery manufacturers, EVE Energy boasts a production capacity of over 10 MWh per day, ensuring scalability and prompt delivery. Notably, their 3C marine battery system is competitively priced below USD 300 per kWh, setting a new standard in the market.
