Strategic Marine, a shipbuilder based in Singapore, has successfully delivered its first surface effect ship (SES) to All Energies Services (AES), a company specializing in offshore supply vessels for the West African and Middle East markets. The vessel, named Energy Craft 3514-01, marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between Strategic Marine, AIRCAT Vessels, and ESNA. This delivery is part of a plan to construct three 35-meter vessels, which was announced in May 2024.
Described as “groundbreaking” by the shipbuilder, the Energy Craft 3514-01 is designed to revolutionize high-speed crew transfer in the offshore oil and gas industry. With a focus on reducing transit times, cutting emissions, and improving sustainability, the vessel aims to meet the evolving needs of the maritime sector. Strategic Marine’s CEO, Chan Eng Yew, emphasized the vessel’s advancements in comfort, efficiency, and environmental responsibility, highlighting the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of crew transfer operations.
Equipped with a reinforced hull and SES active motion dampening technology, the Energy Craft 3514-01 ensures safe and efficient transfers at speeds exceeding 50 knots in seas up to 2.5 meters. The vessel’s active air cushion minimizes noise and vibration levels during operation, enhancing the overall experience for crew members. Additionally, Strategic Marine recently delivered the Amarco S1 fast crew boat (FCB) to Brunei’s Amarco, further solidifying its presence in the offshore oil and gas sector.
