Inmarsat Maritime, a Viasat company, has appointed Pulsar International as the first reseller partner for NexusWave in the Mediterranean market. This partnership allows Pulsar to offer round-the-clock first-line support in the local language and act as a local installation partner. Several Mediterranean-based operators, including Spring Marine, Roswell Tankers, and Newport, have already committed to deploying NexusWave. NexusWave combines multiple networks to provide fast, resilient, always-on connectivity with unlimited data and global coverage, offering consistent performance levels and transparent total cost of ownership.

Konstantinos Zacharias from Spring Marine highlighted the importance of connectivity in modern shipping, emphasizing NexusWave’s ability to streamline processes and meet diverse stakeholder needs. Antonis Alogakos from Roswell Tankers praised NexusWave for its orchestration of various networks, providing speed, reliability, and global coverage crucial for maritime operations. As maritime connectivity rapidly advances, NexusWave addresses cyber-security concerns through its secure-by-design infrastructure, offering enterprise-grade security features such as encrypted data and segregated networks.

Theofano Somaripa from Newport stressed the growing risk of cyber-attacks with increased vessel connectivity, making network security a top priority. Choosing NexusWave was influenced by its advanced security measures, including encrypted data and value-added security services. Robert Sakker, President and CEO of Pulsar International, highlighted the strong reception of NexusWave in the maritime industry and the importance of high-speed, always-on connectivity with robust cybersecurity.
