Kongsberg Maritime has unveiled plans to unify its digital applications under a single brand, Digital Ocean, in anticipation of its upcoming stock listing as an independent company. The Norwegian technology group is set to spin off its maritime division, with Kongsberg Maritime expected to debut on the Oslo Stock Exchange in late April.

This restructuring will consolidate various legacy software systems, such as K-IMS, Vessel Insight, K-Fleet, and Coach, under the Digital Ocean brand. The goal is to create a unified data foundation that ensures consistency across onboard, onshore, and cloud-based tools. Additionally, the company will introduce KM Performance, a new optimization platform designed to enhance the entire voyage cycle, from planning to reporting. This platform will utilize both sensor data and manual inputs to provide a comprehensive operational overview.
