Qatar Suspends Maritime Activities in Doha for National Day Safety Measures

Doha: Ministry of Transport (MOT) has issued a directive urging all maritime vessel owners, including individuals and companies, to halt maritime navigation and leasing activities in the Doha area. This includes tourist, recreational, fishing, jet ski, and similar vessels, specifically between Hamad International Airport (HIA) and the Sheraton Doha Hotel.

This measure is part of broader national efforts to ensure public safety and security during the upcoming Qatar National Day celebrations. The Ministry emphasized the importance of these precautions in facilitating a safe environment for all participants.

The suspension of maritime activities will be enforced from 6 AM on Tuesday, December 16, until 8 AM on Friday, December 19, 2025. The Ministry has called on all stakeholders to comply with these guidelines to contribute to the successful execution of the National Day events.
