Maritime crossings between Tarifa, Spain, and Tangier, Morocco, were halted on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. due to severe weather conditions, including heavy rain and strong winds in the Strait of Gibraltar, according to Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP). All sailings scheduled after this time were canceled, while the only departure that morning at 9:00 a.m. went ahead as planned.

In total, nine sailings operated by Balearia and AML were scrapped between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. However, maritime services connecting Algeciras with Tangier Med remained operational. Passengers were advised to check with the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) for any possible disruptions.
