A ship collided with a windmill in the North Sea off the coast of Noord-Holland on Sunday morning, resulting in two crew members being injured, according to the KNRM rescue institution. The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m., approximately 24 kilometers from Callantsoog. The supply ship involved in the collision was identified as the Glomar Venture. Response teams from the coast guard and KNRM promptly arrived at the scene to assist.

Following the collision, rescue workers provided medical treatment to the injured crew members aboard the Glomar Venture. The KNRM then transported them to the Den Helder coast, where they were further taken to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the Glomar Venture was able to make its way to the port of Den Helder under its own power. The ship is owned by a Dutch offshore company and sails under the flag of Panama, as reported by NU.nl. At the time of the incident, there were eight crew members on board.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident. The extent of the damage sustained by both the ship and the windmill remains unclear. The authorities are working to assess the situation and gather more information regarding the collision between the ship and the windmill in the North Sea.
