MANILA, Philippines — Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong wrapped up his visit to the Philippines on Thursday, emphasizing the robust bilateral relations between the two nations. His trip coincided with a significant development in the maritime sector, as Singapore’s Greenbay Marine delivered five new RoPax vessels to the Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corporation (APFC), operated by FastCat Ferries.
Greenbay Marine, known for its shipbuilding and maritime engineering services, aims to enhance domestic transportation in the Philippines. APFC President Christopher Pastrana noted that these new vessels would facilitate the connection of more destinations, improving the transport of passengers and goods across islands.
The delivery of these vessels is part of APFC’s broader mission to revolutionize domestic transportation in the country. Wong’s visit, which began on Wednesday, highlights the ongoing collaboration and commitment to strengthening ties between Singapore and the Philippines.
