Anglo-Eastern has launched a new LNG/ammonia bunkering station skid at its Mumbai Maritime Academy to enhance training in safe fueling for LNG- and ammonia-powered vessels. Inaugurated on February 20, 2025, this facility aims to provide industry professionals with hands-on experience in handling these emerging fuel types, addressing the increasing demand for trained individuals as the sector shifts towards sustainable energy solutions.

Equipped with advanced cryogenic fueling technology and safety features, the skid offers a controlled training environment for LNG and ammonia transfer operations, emergency response, and compliance with regulations, thereby simulating real-world bunkering scenarios. Aalok Sharma, Group Director of Training, expressed enthusiasm over the initiative, emphasizing its role in promoting maritime fuel safety and efficiency.

In addition, Anglo-Eastern has introduced a training facility for Mk 2 ME-GI engines at its Maritime Training Centre. This facility enhances understanding of engine operations and maintenance procedures, supporting the company’s longstanding partnership with MAN Energy Solutions, which began in 2003. Recently, Anglo-Eastern also marked a significant achievement by bunkering 100,000 cubic meters of LNG across its fleet of dual-fuel vessels.
