The Myanmar Seafarers Federation (MSF) has successfully resolved approximately 300 cases related to seafarers’ rights between 2020 and 2025. This initiative aims to rebuild trust among seafarers by addressing the challenges faced by crew members and their families, as highlighted by MSF President Captain Soe Min Aung.

On July 19, 2025, the MSF held its sixth executive selection ceremony at its headquarters. The event saw participation from 15 candidates vying for executive positions for the 2025-2027 term. Voting was conducted by a diverse group of attendees, including retired veteran seafarers, current sailors, and young recruits.

The MSF’s efforts reflect a commitment to enhancing the welfare of seafarers and ensuring their rights are upheld. The organization’s ongoing work is crucial in fostering a supportive environment for those in the maritime industry.
