Navi Mumbai: The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) celebrated the inauguration of its new Seafarer’s Club on the occasion of Day of the Seafarer 2025.

The club’s modern interior was unveiled by Shyam Jagannathan, IAS, General Director for the Ministry of Shipping, along with Shri Unmesh Sharad Wagh, Chairperson of JNPA and CMD of VPPL. Their presence underscored the importance of this event.

Designed to provide a serene and connected environment, the Seafarer’s Club reflects JNPA’s appreciation for seafarers’ vital contributions to global trade. The facility aims to offer a space for relaxation and comfort, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to supporting maritime professionals.

This initiative highlights JNPA’s acknowledgment of the essential role seafarers play in facilitating international commerce.
