V.Group has launched the Voyage Loyalty Program, an app-based initiative aimed at enhancing engagement and retention among seafarers. By offering rewards for various activities—such as serving time at sea, completing training, and adhering to safety protocols—participants can accumulate points known as “SeaStars.” These points can be redeemed for consumer goods and gift cards, making the program attractive for seafarers of all nationalities who meet certain eligibility criteria.
The V.Crew Connect app serves as the primary platform for this program, allowing seafarers to manage tasks like document uploads and availability updates efficiently. Designed with user-friendliness in mind, the app supports multiple languages and integrates with existing crew management systems. It also provides real-time tracking of SeaStars, enhancing engagement and reducing administrative burdens.
Initial pilot results in the Philippines showed an impressive 85% registration rate among eligible participants and led to significant improvements in assignment acceptance and crew retention. As the program expands globally, future enhancements will include gamification and additional partner rewards, further solidifying V.Group’s commitment to addressing challenges in crew management and retention.
