Maritime CleanTech and Ocean Hyway Cluster have joined forces with Innovation Norway to strengthen green maritime collaboration between Norway and Singapore. This partnership aims to promote Norwegian suppliers in the Southeast Asian maritime market through Innovation Norway’s High Potential Opportunities (HPO) program. The program helps Norwegian companies become preferred partners in international projects and expand their presence in key markets.

The collaboration began with a four-day business visit from Singaporean companies to Norway, marking the start of this exciting initiative. Maritime CleanTech and Ocean Hyway Cluster are leading business hubs in Norway for developing low- and zero-emission solutions for the shipping industry. Their focus on green energy systems, hydrogen, and ammonia use in maritime operations highlights their commitment to sustainable practices.

The HPO program aligns with Singapore’s “Maritime Singapore Decarbonization Blueprint 2050,” which sets ambitious goals for reducing the carbon footprint of the maritime sector. Priorities include electrification of harbor vessels and the development of cutting-edge marine fuels. Norwegian companies participating in the program will receive comprehensive support, including market advice, project identification, and networking opportunities with local stakeholders. This collaboration involves support from various Norwegian agencies and organizations, including the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore and Norwegian Energy Partners.
