Two agreements were signed at the Singapore Norway Innovation Conference (SNIC) between Norwegian and Singaporean companies to advance sustainable maritime solutions. The first agreement, a Letter of Intent (LOI), was signed by Lita Ocean, SeaTech Solutions International, Pascal Technologies, and Evoy to develop a fully electric high-speed harbor craft tailored for Singapore’s maritime landscape. The second agreement, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed between Yinson GreenTech and Evoy to collaborate on marine electrification in Asia.
The LOI signed by the companies aims to contribute to Singapore’s efforts to decarbonize its maritime industry by developing a fully electric passenger harbor craft. This project will incorporate advanced electric propulsion and air lubrication systems to enhance energy efficiency and performance. The goal is to set new standards in sustainable harbor craft and support a greener future in maritime transport.
In addition, the MoU between Yinson GreenTech and Evoy seeks to drive marine electrification in the region by supporting the conversion of internal combustion engine (ICE) vessels to electric power and promoting the development of new electric vessels. The agreement was signed by Jan-Viggo Johansen, Managing Director of marinEV at Yinson GreenTech, and Mads Roland-Glimsholt, Business Development Manager at Evoy.
Mads Roland-Glimsholt, Business Development Manager at Evoy, expressed excitement about bringing high-performance electric propulsion systems to Singapore’s maritime landscape through the initiative. Evoy is committed to working with partners to establish sustainable harbor craft and contribute to a greener future in maritime transportation.
