The UK Maritime Trade Operations reported two attacks on a Liberian-flagged container ship 64 nautical miles northwest of Mokha, Yemen. The ship was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle and unmanned surface vessel, causing minor damage. The captain reported further sightings of drones but confirmed the safety of the vessel and crew. Another attack was reported 83 nautical miles southeast of Aden, involving a Singapore-flagged ship damaged by a Houthi attack.
The shipping company Asiatic Lloyd confirmed the safety of the crew and armed guards on board the vessel. The ship was en route from Somalia to Sri Lanka and docked at an undisclosed port for assessment and repairs. The incidents are still under investigation by the UK Maritime Trade Operations.
