The vessel was attacked by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea, prompting President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to order the search for the seafarer who was in the engine room during the incident.

Secretary Hans Cacdac confirmed that the remaining seafarer is still missing, as the ship took in water in the engine room where he was located. The 21 other Filipino crew members were rescued and will be brought to Bahrain, with the DMW providing full support and assistance to them. Cacdac emphasized the importance of finding the missing seafarer and continuing the search efforts.
