Simultaneous Arrival of Two Cruise Vessels Boosts Tourism in Goa

Two cruise vessels, the ‘MV Resilen Lady’ and the ‘MV Costa Serena’, berthed at the Mormugao Port in Goa simultaneously for the first time this season. The ‘MV Resilen Lady’ made its maiden call at the port, and plaques were exchanged between the port authorities and the captain of the vessel. The captain expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance received from the port authorities, immigration, customs, and travel and tour operators. The passengers were welcomed with traditional dance, songs, and souvenirs by the Goa Tourism before the vessel sailed for its next destination, Colombo.

The ‘MV Costa Serena’ arrived at the MPA Breakwater Berth with 1,583 passengers and 986 crew. The vessel will stay overnight to allow passengers to explore Goa before sailing on Sunday. The arrival of these cruise vessels is a positive sign for the tourism industry in Goa, as it brings in a large number of tourists and boosts the local economy. The successful berthing of two cruise vessels simultaneously demonstrates the port’s capacity to handle increasing cruise traffic.

The captain of the ‘MV Resilen Lady’ was elated by the warm welcome and expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance received.
