Adani Gangavaram Port (AGPL), the deepest and most modern port in India, has announced the introduction of new cargo handling equipment as part of its investment plan to increase capacity and productivity. The equipment includes two new grabs and two new cargo hoppers, which will expand the port’s capacity and result in more efficient cargo handling and shorter turnaround times. With an investment of INR 6 Crores, AGPL aims to provide world-class services and facilities to its customers.

AGPL has already invested INR 45 Crores this fiscal year to introduce new railway locomotives and enhance warehouse, road, and rail infrastructure. The rail systems allow for direct handling of the entire rake in the warehouse and storage without the need for train changes. Additionally, AGPL is currently investing INR 275 Crores in an integrated warehouse that will offer state-of-the-art handling and storage facilities for agricultural and fertilizer cargoes. The warehouse is expected to become operational in 2024.

Adani Management of Gangavaram Port Limited expresses their commitment to providing the best infrastructure and services to customers. They believe that these investments will bring significant economic benefits to Indian importers through efficient port operations and a faster evacuation system. The trade industry is pleased with the modern deepwater infrastructure provided by Adani Gangavaram Port.
