Lloyd’s Register (LR) has updated its Fatigue Design Assessment (FDA) methodology, reflecting modern trading patterns for containerships and gas carriers. This enhancement, based on 11 years of AIS data, predicts a fatigue life increase of 10–15% for containerships and up to 10% for gas carriers, improving structural assessments significantly.
