Anschuetz has enhanced the SYNAPSIS (W)ECDIS NX with the Generic Overlay feature, enabling seamless integration of external geo-referenced data onto navigational charts. This allows third-party systems to overlay data with standard navigational information, improving hazard recognition and decision-making, particularly with real-time visualizations from systems like FarSounder’s 3D sonar.
