India’s Green Tug Transition: Echandia Supplies Battery for Electric Vessel
Echandia has been selected to provide the battery system for India’s first fully electric tug at Deendayal Port Authority. Featuring a 4.4 MWh battery, this vessel will ensure zero-emission operations, supporting the Government’s Green Tug Transition Program. Delivery is expected in the third quarter of 2026, with more electric tugs planned.
