The Indian Register of Shipping commended the Indian Coast Guard and Goa Shipyard Limited for launching the Pollution Control Vessel ICGS Samudra Prachet and the Fast Patrol Vessel ICGS Atal. These vessels enhance India’s maritime security and showcase the nation’s commitment to environmental protection and self-reliance in shipbuilding.
Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) recently unveiled two Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs), Amulya and Akshay, designed and built in-house for the Indian Coast Guard. The launch ceremony marked a significant milestone in GSL’s journey towards excellence in technology and operations, supporting the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in defence production.
Indian Coast Guard’s Additional Director General K R Suresh visited Goa to review the operational readiness of afloat and air-borne platforms of the maritime security agency. He interacted with Coast Guard troops and visited Goa Shipyard Limited to assess ongoing projects.
