Mazagon Dock Begins Production of Fast Patrol Vessels for Indian Coast Guard
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) has started the production of the first Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) for the Indian Coast Guard, part of a project to build 14 ships. Plate cutting for the second Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel (NGOPV) has also begun. MDL aims to enhance maritime security capabilities for India’s coastal protection.
