Australia Imposes Ban on Foreign Vessel Over Crew Wage and Welfare Concerns
Earlier this week, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) inspected the Liberia-flagged bulk carrier BBG Wuzhou at the Port of Newcastle. The inspection revealed significant issues, including underpayment of crew wages and inadequate provisions, leading to the ship’s detention due to unseaworthiness and substandard conditions.
