On December 2, 2025, Goa Shipyard Limited handed over the ICGS Amulya, the third Fast Patrol Vessel in a series of eight, enhancing India’s maritime security. Measuring 51.43 meters and powered by twin diesel engines, the vessel will conduct various missions, including fisheries protection and anti-piracy operations.
The Indian Register of Shipping commended the Indian Coast Guard and Goa Shipyard Limited for launching the Pollution Control Vessel ICGS Samudra Prachet and the Fast Patrol Vessel ICGS Atal. These vessels enhance India’s maritime security and showcase the nation’s commitment to environmental protection and self-reliance in shipbuilding.
The Goa Shipyard Limited has launched its second environmental pollution control ship, ‘Samudra Prachet,’ enhancing India’s coastal defense capabilities. Designed for rapid response to oil pollution in the Exclusive Economic Zone, this vessel supports environmental protection and advances self-reliance in defense manufacturing under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative.
