Norway Advances Green Transit with New Electric Hydrofoil Ferries
Norwegian ferry operator Boreal has ordered 20 electric hydrofoil vessels from Candela Technology. The Candela P12, cruising at 25 knots, accommodates 25 passengers and aims to electrify high-speed routes. Boreal’s CEO highlights energy savings of up to 80%, with significant reductions in operating costs compared to diesel ferries.
