HVO Biofuel Proves Effective in MSC Cruises Engines Trial
Eni and MSC Cruises have successfully tested Enilive’s HVO biofuel in maritime transport, powering the MSC Opera’s engine for about 2,000 hours without modifications. The trial showed significant reductions in nitrogen oxide and particulate emissions, with lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions cut by approximately 80%, marking a vital step towards decarbonizing maritime transport.
