Myanmar’s Seafarers Celebrate Seafarers’ Day and Advocate for Their Rights
On June 25, 2025, the International Seafarers’ Day ceremony in Yangon celebrated Myanmar’s seafarers. Captain Soe Min Aung, President of the Myanmar Seafarers’ Federation, highlighted the annual departure of nearly 40,000 seafarers, emphasizing the federation’s efforts in addressing workplace issues and providing essential support for injured workers.
